Arts Mark Gold

Here at Millfields First School we value the arts very highly. When you come into school next please look at the children’s art work in the corridor’s and classrooms, it is of a very good standard. We have a visiting music specialist called Sarah Tustain. She teaches every class music and singing, as a result the quality of music provision is high. As I’m sure you are all aware we are very proud of the children’s standard of Dance. In the last term all of the classes have taken part in some form of Dance competition and performed to a very high standard. Cherry class gave a stunning performance at the Voices and Visions event at Worcester Cathedral this week. All of the above has contributed to the fact that we have recently achieved ‘Arts Mark Gold’. This is a very prestigious award. ‘We are very proud of how our children embrace the Arts at Millfields First School. It is a delight to see their confidence, enthusiasm and skills develop through the fantastic opportunities we provide in our curriculum.’
