Governing Body

Millfields First School’s Governing Body is made up of a group of volunteers from all sections of the community, and all walks of life, all of whom are committed to supporting and challenging the school to ensure the best possible outcome for all of its pupils.

Millfields First School’s Governing Body aim to act as a critical friend ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction; the Governing Body should hold the school to account for the educational performance of its pupils and to ensure all statutory responsibilities are carried out.

In collaboration with the Head Teacher, the Governing Body helps set the strategic direction for the school; this is done by setting targets, monitoring and reviewing aims and objectives and reviewing and updating policies.
