Learning Zone

The aim of Home Learning is to extend quality first teaching that is interactive, stimulating and is as engaging as possible. In developing Home Learning our aim is to extend pupil motivation and complement the work the children do in school.

This usually takes the form of reading, spelling, phonics and times tables. Sometimes there will be other activities which the children are asked to complete. 

Some of the Home Learning activities can be completed independently and some require some support from parents or an older person. All activities are open-ended and can be extended. There is a balance of independent activities and those requiring support.
